Electricity and Circuits

Thanks to the hard work of scientists and inventors like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison, we can understand exactly how electricity is created. Electricity is the movement of an electric charge. This electrical charge can be formed by electrons and protons. Electrons have negative charge and protons have positive charge. Electrons can only travel in a loop. If there is an opening of the circuit, electricity will not travel. A light switch is a perfect demonstration of a circuit. When we turn on the light switch, we are closing a circuit. The electrons cannot flow through the circuit, so the lamp is extinguished. The electricity without a given path always seeking the ground. Today scientists are working hard to find safe and renewable ways to generate electricity. For example, solar and wind power are used worldwide to create electricity.
